How does it work? (Magic of Salt Water and Mg-Air Fuel Cell):

The heart of the Thunderbird vehicle is a special Magnesium-Air (Mg-Air) fuel cell. It consists of three parts: an anode made of a replaceable magnesium (Mg) plate, an air cathode and a non-woven fabric membrane between them. After adding a few drops of salt water (a solution of table salt in tap water), which acts as an electrolyte, an electrochemical reaction occurs between the magnesium anode and the cathode (using oxygen from the air). As a result, electric current is generated which powers the vehicle's engine.

The set contains all the elements needed to build an impressive model of a Monster Truck with four-wheel drive and visible, moving elements imitating the operation of the engine. Important Information (Fuel and Operation - Read Carefully!):

• "Fuel": Operation requires a self-prepared solution of table salt (NaCl) in ordinary tap water (a few drops added with a pipette).
• Riding Time on One Fill: Adding salt water to the cell once allows for approximately 15 minutes of continuous riding. After this time (or when the vehicle stops running), clean the cell according to the instructions and add fresh solution.
• Cell Consumables: In the process of generating energy, the magnesium anode is used up. This is a replaceable item.
• Anode Life: One magnesium plate is enough for approximately 4 hours of total driving (which means adding water multiple times during this time).
• Replaceable Anodes Included: The set contains 3 replaceable magnesium plates, which gives a total of approx. 12 hours of fun. Please check with your retailer for additional tiles available for purchase.
