POWERplus Alligator 80W Folding Solar Charger - DC, PD 60W, QC 3.0, USB
Do you need a really solid and efficient, yet portable source of free solar energy that will not only charge your smartphone or power bank, but also power a demanding laptop or quickly charge a portable power station? POWERplus Alligator is a powerful, foldable solar charger with an impressive nominal power of up to 80W (cell power tested under STC conditions)! Built on two high-performance photovoltaic panels with a power of 40W each, Alligator offers an exceptionally rich set of modern output ports, including the keyDC 19.8V (DC5521), super-fast USB-C Power Delivery 60W, USB-A Quick Charge 3.0 and a standard USB-A port. Thanks to its intelligent, foldable design resembling a briefcase, integrated stand and relatively low weight (less than 3 kg), the Alligator charger is a perfect solution for longer camping trips, camper trips, sailing trips, field work or as an independent, emergency source of ecological energy.
Powerful Solar Energy for Demanding Devices - Main Features:
- Impressive Output Power 80W (Average up to 65W): Two large, interconnected solar panels with a total nominal power of 80W (tested in standard STC laboratory conditions) ensure very high efficiency of converting solar energy into electricity. In real conditions, on a sunny day, you can expect an average output power of up to 65W, which allows for effective and relatively quick charging of even more energy-intensive devices.
-
Unrivaled Versatility of Outputs – Up to 4 Independent Charging Ports: Alligator is ready to charge virtually any portable device thanks to four different output ports located in the integrated regulator module:
- 1 x DC output 5521 (Voltage approx. 19.8V / Current max. 4A): Dedicated direct current (DC) output with a standard 5.5x2.1mm connector. Perfect for direct charging of many popular models of portable power stations (so-called solar generators) or other devices requiring a stable voltage in the 18-20V range (the DC5521-DC5521 cable is usually included or available separately).
- 1 x USB-C Power Delivery (PD) port with up to 60W of power: A modern and powerful USB-C port compliant with the Power Delivery standard, capable of delivering up to 60W of power. It enables super-fast charging of compatible laptops (including many MacBook models), ultrabooks, tablets and the latest smartphones.
- 1 x USB-A Quick Charge 3.0 port (max 18W): Significantly accelerates charging of smartphones, tablets and other mobile devices supporting the popular Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 fast charging technology.
- 1 x Standard USB-A Port (5V / max 2.4A - estimated): Universal USB Type A port for charging other standard USB devices such as older phones, power banks, headphones, Bluetooth speakers, e-book readers, etc.
- Ideal Solution for Charging Laptops and Portable Power Stations: Thanks to the unique combination of very high output power, a powerful 60W USB-C PD port and a dedicated 19.8V DC output, Alligator is one of the few truly effective portable solar chargers capable of effectively powering and charging modern laptops and popular battery power stations (power stations / solar generators).
- Foldable Design with Comfortable Handle and Integrated Stand: Despite the large panel area and significant power, the charger folds in half to form a handy "suitcase" or briefcase with a convenient handle, which makes it much easier to transport and store. Built-in, foldable legs (stand) allow you to easily and stably set the unfolded panel at the optimal angle in relation to the incident sunlight, which is crucial for maximizing the energy obtained.
- Relatively Low Weight and Portability: Considering the offered power of 80W, the device's weight of about 2.9 kg is relatively low, which, combined with the foldable structure, makes it a truly mobile solution that can be taken with you when traveling by car, camper or boat.
- LED Visual Power Generation Indicator: A small LED located near the output ports clearly informs the user when the panel is exposed to sufficiently intense sunlight and is actively producing electricity, ready to charge connected devices.
- Durable Construction Adapted for Outdoor Use: Solid construction and high-quality materials used to produce panels and casing ensure adequate durability and resistance to typical conditions during outdoor use (however, it is recommended to protect the device against strong, long-term rain and do not immerse it in water, no IP class specification).

How to Use and Important Tips:
- For maximum efficiency, unfold the solar panel completely and place it in a place with as much direct sunlight as possible, avoiding any shading of the panel surfaces.
- Be sure to use the integrated stand to position the panel at the optimal angle (preferably close to 90 degrees) in relation to the incident sunlight - this is crucial to obtain the declared output power.
- Connect the device you want to charge to the appropriate output port on the controller panel, using a high-quality cable designed for a given charging standard:
- To charge compatible laptops, tablets or smartphones that support Power Delivery, use the USB-C PD port.
- To charge portable power stations or other devices with DC input, use the DC 5521 port with an appropriate cable (often DC5521-DC5521).
- Use the USB-A QC 3.0 port to quickly charge Quick Charge-compatible phones and tablets.
- Use the second USB-A port to charge other standard USB devices.
- The lighting of the LED on the controller panel will confirm that the panel is generating energy. Remember that the actual charging power and speed will depend on many factors: sunlight intensity, angle of incidence of rays, ambient temperature and the specifications and requirements of the device being charged.
- Protect the panel against strong impacts, falls from a height and excessive bending, especially at the folding point. Never step on the surface of the solar panels.
- Keep the surface of the panels clean - dust, sand, pollen or other dirt may significantly reduce the efficiency of solar energy conversion. Wipe the panels regularly with a soft, dry or slightly damp cloth.
- The solar panel is intended for outdoor use, but it is recommended to protect it from prolonged exposure to very heavy rainfall and never immerse it in water. Store it in a dry place when not in use.
