How do Flow Regulators Work?

EcoSavers® regulators are precisely designed inserts that are placed in the water stream (inside the faucet aerator or between the hose and the shower head). Their task is to physically limit the amount of water flowing to a specific level (7 l/min for a tap, 8 l/min for a shower at a pressure of 3 bar), regardless of how much you turn on the tap or what the pressure in the installation is (within the typical range). They operate on the principle of throttling the flow, often without a noticeable loss of stream pressure.

Faucet Regulator (Washbasin/Kitchen Faucet):

• Flow: Limits the flow to approximately 7 liters per minute (at 3 bar).
• Installation: Unscrew the aerator (spout tip) from the tap. Insert the EcoSavers® regulator inside the aerator housing. Screw the aerator back onto the tap.
• Compatibility: Fits standard M22/M24 aerator threads (when placed inside the existing aerator housing).

Shower regulator:

• Flow: Limits the flow to approximately 8 liters per minute (at 3 bar).
• Installation: Unscrew the shower hose from the shower head. Insert the EcoSavers® regulator (making sure the gasket is in place) between the hose and the showerhead. Screw the hose back onto the handset.
