How does the Parakeet Lamp work?

During the day, the solar panel (0.2W / 5V) charges the internal Li-ion 14500 battery (3.7V / 400mAh). After dark, the daylight sensor activates the lamp's standby mode. When the passive infrared (PIR) sensor detects movement within its range, the lamp immediately turns on 4 SMT LEDs, glowing for a few seconds. When movement stops, the lamp turns off automatically, saving energy. The lamp has a switch to activate the AUTO mode.
